Skin Free Product Review & Giveaway

Recently I have been trying to decrease the amount of chemicals I am using in our home. Big, long, complicated and virtually impossible to pronounce chemical names are out. Knowing what is actually in the products I am using is in. As many of you who are frequent visitors here know, I tried out a homemade laundry detergent a couple of weeks back and loved it! Still loving how it is working for my family, but I also truly enjoy that I know what exactly is in it. I am washing clothes with detergent that comes in contact with my skin. I like knowing what those ingredients are!

In the same school of thought are all of the creams, washes, and lotions I put on my skin. Have you looked at a label lately to see exactly what it is you are putting on your skin to be absorbed into your body? I had a wonderful opportunity to try out some products from Skin Free. They are a company that creates skin care products that contain:
  • All Natural, Vegan Ingredients
  • No Perfumes
  • No Petroleum Products
  • No Harmful Chemicals
  • No Steroids
  • No Colorants
  • No Greasy feeling
  • No Animal Testing, Cruelty Free
I have acne prone skin, especially in the summer time with the heat and increased perspiration. I got to try out the Niaouli Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin. This is a heavy duty scrub! It is not for a light exfoliation. Unlike many scrubs I have tried that were mostly the gel ingredient with very little exfoliant, this scrub is chock full of the natural exfoliating pumice. It makes for quick work of washing your face. No need to keep massaging into your skin in order to ensure exfoliation. In very short order I am done. Once rinsed I have removed that top layer of dead skin. I love how fresh and clean it feels. I recommend a once or twice a week application. This is not something I would use for every day use, but for a weekly addition to your regimen I highly recommend! The next thing I got to try was the Skin Renewal System. This includes the Sweet & Smooth Sugar Scrub and the Whipped Tamanu Body Butter. The Sugar Scrub is phenomenal! It is used on wet skin to remove the top layer of dead skin cells. I used it on my elbow and knees, on the dried cracked heels of my feet, and even as a mini-manicure treatment on my hands! It does a great job, and the Olive Seed Oil in it leaves the newly uncovered skin soft and supple. I love that the sugar used to exfoliate doesn't sting like the salt used in many similar products that I have tried! I then followed up with the Body Butter. The oils in this as well as the other ingredients make for a great addition on top of the newly exfoliated areas. It leaves the skin very well moisturized.Skin Free has a great product line with things like purifying clay masks and soaps that are formulated to help with skin conditions like Eczema and Psoriasis. I have absolutely loved using these products. They have had the desired results with use, and I feel good about using them! But not only have I gotten to try out Skin Free products, you can too! Julie at Skin Free has given us a $30 gift certificate to give away to a Momma D and Da Boyz reader!
