This week the people at MyBlogSpark sent my boys a great Trix Swirls Creative Kids Gift Basket to try out! The boys are avid fans of Trix cereal, and the excitement over the swirls was quite a topic of conversation amongst my five and three year old. I was in the living room checking some email while they were eating breakfast in the connected dining room, and in Gabriel ran stopping right in front of me. "Mommy, the blue has purple in it and the red has orange!" Insert laughs and giggles here! It was such a hit we went to the grocery store to get more. I was unsure whether or not it would be on the shelves, but it was and the boyz were overjoyed!
That afternoon we took out the gift basket products to try and mix things up a bit. After a couple of weeks at home with no school the natives are getting restless! This was just the cure. The gift basket we received was very true to what the picture is like. So much so, I took a pic of our to show you!
We spent the afternoon tearing out pages from the HUGE pad of paper. First we watercolored. Then we used the colored pencils. We had never tried this particular kind of pencil. After you finish drawing out your "masterpiece", you take a wet paintbrush and go over it. The pencils than disperse and give a watercolor effect. The boys and I truly enjoyed ourselves! After we were done, all of the pencils and paintbrushes went into the cute art supply box. I was also very happy that my three year old was sporting that cute tie-dyed apron!
MyBlogSpark has given me TWO Trix Swirls Creative Kids Gift Baskets to give away! To enter, please leave a comment telling me what are your favorite things you would swirl together! You will win a Trix Swirls® Creative Kid gift basket that includes a sample of the product along with a colorful apron, a set of watercolor pencils, watercolor paints, brushes, a sketchbook, and an art supply box.
This Giveaway will end at 11:59 on 7/23.

I am in the middle of redecorating my 8 and 6 year olds shared bedroom and it would be great for them to make some really cool art work for their walls!!!
Everything! It looks like so much fun. My kids got to try trix for the first time this week and they loved it. So they would be really excited to use the art supplies.
My future stepdaughter would love it because she is really into drawing and coloring. I have tried watercolor pencils and they are a lot of fun. She would probably like to paint and color elmo who is her favorite monster.
WOAH!!! TOTALLY RADICAL DUDE!!! I love tie-dye, MommaD! I haven't yet done any with my daughter, but ooh, maybe that will be a project at her 2nd birthday party! Thanks for the idea! (I'll have to try and come up with a "clean" way of doing it, though)
Sorry, I got sidetracked...I understand that the kit is pencils and not really dye...but I got excited. The boyz looked like they had a blast!
I like to swirl orange sherbert and vanilla ice cream.

The kids love to color and just had the new Trix - so this is great - classic swirl of vanilla and chocolate soft serve is our favorite!
This looks great and I think it is just the thing my 3 year old would love to use. We love to swirl when we are drawing pictures.
I like swirling hot fudge and peanut butter together. SOmetimes I also add bananas
We would swirl a painting for my daughter's grandparents. They love to get cute art from her.
My daughters would love to swirl some art for their new cousin. Also they love to do any art for the web site we have associated with our new non profit. We've never tried Twix, so that in itself would be a treat.
Awesome!!!!!
It will be perfect for my Little Birds! Just perfect for the summer like another great activity!

I love swirling different colors together to create new ones.
I would like to twirl my boys favorite colors onto white converse all star sneakers. That would look so great. For Justin, red and blue and Sean Green, then Red and finally yellow.
