I was chosen to be a November hostess for a house party introducing the all new Kodak Photo Gallery. So last weekend I had a great time showing friends and family the great items from the new site and how easy it is to upload, create and order them.
I received a photo mug, custom cards and a photo book for being a hostess. Each gave me an opportunity to try out the site, order items and have them shipped to me. I have to say that I ordered my items and all of them were created and shipped within forty-eight items. I had them in hand in about a week.
The ceramic photo mug was unique in that there were several layouts that also incorporated different numbers of photographs. I am very partial to my annual pic seen in the upper right hand of my page. I have started taking one once a year of all of my boyz. So I put this as the main pic that wrapped around the mug. I then chose to use last years picture for reference sake, you get to see how much they've grown and changed with your morning cup of tea! I love it! It is a nice glossy finish and looks very professionally done, not just a small pic slapped on two sides of the mug. The first side didn't photograph well, so sorry for the bit blurry pic!
I made a set of 10 custom folded cards. Again using the pic that I love I chose a background that I felt complimented it well. Thought the faces on the black background worked perfectly and highlighted the boyz so well. Underneath I wrote Desrochers Boyz. What is great about these is that I got to have printing done inside. I wanted to be able to use these year-round for any occasion, so I did a signature of sorts with Sincerely, followed by all of our names. I can't wait to use them! The card stock is nice, as is the quality of printing both inside and out.
Finally I made a photo book. They have a lot of options for both the covers, size, and styles. I chose to make mine a composite of some of my favorite pictures of our family in the last year. I again used my favorite picture for the front of my 8x8 hardcover book. Covers come in a variety of hard and soft. I also chose the standard amount of pages, but you can add and subtract whatever number of pages suite you.
For my book I wanted to concentrate on my photos. So I chose simple white backgrounds and did not add captions. There are many background choices, layouts and font styles from which to choose! You could spend time choosing perfect ones to compliment your book, your perfect wording and make it entirely customized, or like me just quickly make a composite of favorite photos to showcase on your coffee table.
Right now the Kodak Gallery has tons of wonderful and contemporary holiday cards, photo cards, and gifts of all shapes and sizes to choose from! You can also order prints of your photos from them as well. Go and take a look and see what tickles you. If you find something, leave a comment and tell me what it is and I will email you a custom code for 40% OFF your purchase through December 1st! That's 40% OFF your Kodak Gallery order! Be sure that your email address is either in your blogger profile or in your comment so that I can email you back with your custom code! Each code can only be used once.
Thanks to Kodak Gallery for choosing me to be a hostess and letting me try your products!

Sounds cool. I love the photo of the boys you used. I think it's definitely an all around favorite. I'd love to do that sort of thing with my photos. =)
