Flirty Aprons Review & Giveaway (Ends 2/22)

I am a baker and a cake decorator. An amateur at both, but they are two of my passions and favorite things that I do. Both of these tend to be quite messy. And while taking my very first Wilton cake decorating course about seven years ago I learned the usefulness of the apron. You know, that thing your mom wore and seemed kind of fuddy duddy? Well I have always had a few aprons hanging in the kitchen from which to choose, but they would be described as utilitarian. Nothing special. Did the job. That was about it.

I was excited when I first saw the Flirty Aprons website. There was an array of cute aprons to choose from. And these aren't your mom's aprons! I find the name fitting, and having been called flirty (or maybe it was just confidence?) a time or two back in the day, I liked the idea that the name conjures up.

The women's aprons come in primarily two styles. The first is Women's Original Aprons. They feature a large double pocketed front, great pattern contrasts, and my favorite feature of the Original Aprons, the ruffled edging. I love the Women's Apron Original Blue Chocolate shown here...

And being the cake decorating person that I am, this was my second choice, the Women's Apron Original Frosted Cupcake...

The other women's style is the Scalloped Sassy aprons. They feature a scalloped bottom edge instead of the ruffled. They also have to individual pockets on the sides. I love this one. the Women's Apron Scalloped Sassy Red...

They also have a full line of children's sized aprons as well. So your favorite pint-sized little chef can be Mommy's helper in the kitchen. This is the same apron in the child's sized.Children’s aprons are 19” in length, have long waist ties and are uniquely designed to fit all children up to 48” in height. The Original Women’s apron is a perfect fit for taller children too.

All of these aprons feature one size fits all sizing, with generous ties that can be done singularly or doubled back around and tied in the front. They are made of 100% cotton fabric and have a two ply construction, meaning that they are fully lined and durable with a double layer of fabric. The finishing is done beautifully and they won't fade or tear.

They have a line of men's aprons with some funny quotes as well. I like this one...

I find the ties a little long if you want to wear them in the traditional tie behind sense. But otherwise I truly love the high quality and original styling of these aprons. And Daddy D says that they are indeed flirty!
