Groundhog Day Fun!

Today is Groundhog Day! Despite what seems to be a shadowy outlook from Punxsatawny Phil meaning six more weeks of winter, how about celebrating a little with your little ones? As the one day a year devoted to a rodents, here are some ideas.

Although Phil and his groundhog counterparts are the true stars of the day, why not celebrate with some of the rodents we all have come to love! Whether it's turning on the Disney Channel to see our favorite mouse Mickey or watching Disney Pixar's Ratatouille there are many options for kids. Or the adults can watch the time honored classic for this day, Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

Another option is to head to your local video game store pick up the new Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel video game available for Wii or DS! The video game features both the Chipmunks and the Chipettes (always my favorite when I was a girl!) and challenges you to keep the rhythm and timing. The soundtrack features songs from the Grammy and American Music Award winning Chipmunks library. As the characters you jet around the world on tour and try to fill stadiums with your music. You can also play in multi player mode on both the Wii and DS, always a plus in our household!

Whatever way you choose to celebrate, enjoy Groundhogs Day and try not to think too much about the next six weeks. At some point spring will get here (or so I hope!).
