The Long Road Traveled

Today dawned with two Desrochers parents on the mend. Neither with a fever any longer and feeling well enough to venture on to the previously planned family vacation. Since we hadn't been sure if and when we would be leaving, no packing had even been attempted.

So we began the day packing up six people for five days. That's about forty complete outfits (the youngest two need a few spare sets), swimming clothes, towels, pajamas, diapers, wipes, pillows, sleeping bags....you get the idea. After bathes and showers and packing up we headed out a little before lunch.

Four states, 221 miles and an afternoon later we arrived in Cape Cod to a spaghetti and meatballs dinner prepared by Daddys D's parents. Less than an hour later the Desrochers six where enjoying the warm indoor pool.
