Gabriel at the Sears Potrait Studio Review

This is the second in a series of posts about our recent trip to Sears Portrait Studio. All this week I will be sharing each of the boyz individual photo shoots, culminating in the part of the session that included all four boyz. Keep coming back, and mid-week we will be launching our Sears Portrait Studio Giveaway of a Sears Portrait Studio Silver Collection, which includes 10 custom “mix and match” portrait sheets, your choice of two collages/composites and one 10x13 wall portrait. Plus, you get a CD of your original images with copyrights and up to 10 standard enhancements, such as black and white, sepia, vignettes or borders!

Today is Gabriel's day for showing off his pictures! Now unlike Seth, Gabriel and I had different thoughts on what he should bring as his personal item for his pictures. I thought Gabriel should bring a baseball and his glove. He loves baseball, has since he was a little, little boy. It was my opinion that that best suited him. Anything having to do with baseball makes his face light up and his deep dimple on the one side emerge.

These were the two photos of him with his baseball gear.

I think they both came out well, but I prefer the one with him laying down. They are very cute and I think they show some of his playful side.

But like I was saying, Gabriel wanted a different prop. From about the age of two Gabriel found his favorite character in books, tv shows and at the time a feature film. One pesky little monkey that matched the inquisitive personality of our second born and his habit of that getting him into a bit of trouble. Curious George and Curious Gabriel are the best of friends. Go to the library, and Gabriel will bring home a Curious George book. And remarkably so, they have matching tufts of wayward hair above the temple.

So that is what Gabriel wanted to bring with him. His Curious George monkey that he sleeps with, complete with a yellow shirt that is a little worse for wear. I reluctantly agreed, if only he would take the stained and pilled shirt off. He obliged.

I am so glad that I gave in! This is the shot our photographer Arsenia got, complete we a bit wider smile and sparkling eyes. Cradling his precious pal...

Gabriel was very easy to work with and excited to have his pictures done. Arsenia, our photographer did a good job of positioning him and he did just wonderful sitting in the same pose and smiling for her.

Tomorrow we will take a look at Nate the Greats pictures!

I received a Smile Savers Plan for a year and Portrait CD of our session to facilitate this review. Although I did receive these free of charge, all opinions and views expressed here are my own and come from our actual experience. Please see my policies page for our complete disclosure policy.
