The elusive and mythical Shamrock Shake available at McDonalds for only a few weeks a year. Minty, yummy goodness in a super convenient cup that I can slurp up with a straw.
Now to me, that sentence brings visions of the Disney movie Walle. All those obese people flying around in chairs trying the newest taste sensation "in a cup". So maybe the fact that Shamrock Shakes are only around for me to over indulge in for just a handful of days per year is in fact a blessing in disguise.
Nevertheless, we took the boyz for a treat yesterday evening. All but Eli who is not adept at straw slurping enough to handle a triple thick shake. Nathan, who is newly lactose tolerant, had his very first shake ever. Combine that with minty goodness that is the green gold the leprechauns must have been searching for at the end of the rainbow. His remark for the day, "I like this ice cream I can drink!".

I love the Shamrock Shakes. My son calls them Rock Shakes. LOL
Nice. I've never liked even the idea of this shamrock shake (just don't like mint most of the time), but glad it hits the spot for someone! Now if McD's would just stop offering that seasonal horror: the McLobster....
When I saw this post, I thought, "OMG that is right, they are back!" I love them! I opened up your post into a window yesterday and I never got around to reading it. I took my girls to my mother-in-laws house yesterday and on the way, we stopped at McDonalds for them. I cannot believe I completely forgot about the shake! I am so going back this week, but I have to keep it down low bc my girls are allergic to dairy =(
