I recently had the opportunity to try both the Bark Off and the Crazy Critter products with our miniature dachshund, Ginger. Ginger is three years old and the only k9 member of our family.

Being a miniature dachshund, Ginger is a bit yippy by nature. We were excited to try the Bark Off because of that. The Bark off gives an ultrasonic beep when the dog barks. We placed it by her crate where she spends the night. Although we cannot hear the sound it makes, we knew that it was indeed working. Ginger would occasionally bark, but we could visibly tell that it made her uncomfortable to do so because of the noise emitted. We have had a noticeable decrease in barking, although not eliminated completely.
The Crazy Critter is Ginger's favorite new friend. We received a plush fox with no filling. As Ginger often tears apart stuffed animals, Gabriel's favorite Curious George among them. She has been playing with this for about three weeks now and it is still in good condition. We also like that it has a squeaker in both the head and tail and she really enjoys biting them. The Crazy Critter can be purchased for $10.

I don't have a dog right now but we're planning to get a standard poodle in the near future, and these products sound great. The bark off is of particular interest because I wouldn't want the dog's yappiness to disturb neighbors.

The bark off would be great for Max!! He gets very excited when people come over and his barking tends to make my kids friends nervous. And the crazy critter would be great for him too! He carries a new toy around for days without eating it, then all of a sudden we will find it torn to shreds!
