Star Wars at Toy Fair

I have four sons.  They live, eat and breath Star Wars.  End of story.  If it were just the six movies, that would be more than enough to fuel them for years of imaginative play.  Add in the Star Wars the Clone Wars animated show on Cartoon Network and it becomes a downright obsession.

While walking around Toy Fair you saw lots and lots of Star Wars figures and more.  The boyz oohed and ahhed over my pictures when they came home.

Truth be told, so did Daddy D over this one...

Star Wars came in everything from bobbleheads to USB drives!  These Star Wars USB drives by Mimobot would be great for my tween to use for computer projects. Easily recognizable amongst other USB drives for sure!

But of course, this house loves Lego.  The new Star Wars Lego sets are fabulous!

Excuse the blurry pic, but I am in love with these Ewok mini figs in the Ewok Attack set available in August.

One of my absolute favorites to tell the boyz about was the Anakin's & Sebulba's Podracers.  So many toy versions of these racers are one piece, eliminating the seperated nature of the original.  I liked the connecting cords.  I also loved the clear base that connects the two and allows for a handle to fly them.

I didn't have the heart to tell the girl she was holding it backwards, the engines are in the front!

I also found out fabulous news!  Lego has been doing an advent calendar for awhile now.  A traditional Lego advent calendar will be available (this year it will feature the police series).  But for the first time there will be a Star Wars Advent Calendar for purchase!  Exciting news for the D household!  It will retail for $39.99.

And the most fabulous of them all, this years colossal set is the Millennium Falcon.  Of course Lego has done the Millennium Falcon in different sizes and versions before.  What I love about this one is how it opens up and allows for imaginative play inside the ship. It will retail for $139.99 and will be released in August.

Star Wars is a hot property in our house.  Thank you Toy Fair for making me a hero to the boyz and letting them get the sneak peek of things to come!

Mama D, I'm a mom who's just as obsessed w Lucas' world as your boys are. I'm proud to say I've passed this obsession on to both my 8 yr old son & 3 yr old daughter (we're working on Dad more & more everyday!) If you haven't experienced the absolute wonderfulness that is Star Wars Weekends @ Disney, let me tell you it is a must! Thanks for the update on all the new goodies, and rest assured, our home will for sure have at least one of those fabulous advent calendars, maybe more if I can acquire them here in Alaska! Time to start stalking the Legos site! :)
